Mount Bromo is one of the active volcanoes in East Java Indonesia which has plenty of attractions such as the golden sunrise along with its fantastic landscape and the Bromo crater itself. The story behind “Sacred” Bromo and the tribe living around the area will also be a unique experience for you to have while visiting this place. After visiting this fascinating views we gotta move to another volcano which will give you more hiking experience, for anyone searching for an adrenaline rush welcome to Ijen Crater and you will witness the only existing phenomena of  blue fire that appears inside the crater during the night. Then, on this package we will also visit to Tumpak Sewu Waterfalls which in Indonesian terms means Thousand Waterfalls. Tumpak Sewu waterfall is also dubbed the Cliff of Nirvana. It is located in Lumajang it takes only 3 hours driving from Malang. Tumpak Sewu Waterfall has natural springs from Mount Semeru. The name Tumpak Sewu means a waterfall that stacks up to a thousand. Not surprisingly, the water seemed to widen, like a tiered curtain. The water flows and falls into a steep valley that extends with an elevation of 500 meters above sea level or about 120 meters.

Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to East Java! We will welcoming you at Surabaya city or Malang depends on your request. We will head to Bondowoso city around 4 hours driving. After reaching to the hotel in Bondowoso city you have your free time to have yourself a rest after 4 hours driving.

Day 2

Ijen Trekking

Be ready at 23.00 at your hotel. We will start the adventure during the night by driving you to starting point at Paltuding. Then we will trek for 1.5 hours up to  Ijen Crater.  You will witness the only existing blue fire that appears inside the crater during the night. Later on, walk up to the sunrise point and you will get the beautiful scenery of mountains combine with a beautiful greenish lake.  Then back to the starting point and we will bring you back to your hotel for having your breakfast.

Head to Bromo area for about 3 hours from Bondowoso city.

Bromo National Park is the most popular outdoor activity to do when you visit Indonesia, especially Surabaya or Malang City. But before we witnessed it, we will bring you to witnessing a hidden paradise in the Bromo park area, the highest waterfall on the Java island is an experience that will never be forgotten. Madakaripura Waterfall has a height of 200 meters presenting the natural beauty forest that is still preserved.  Then we will  drive to a hotel nearby Bromo on the up hill.  Afterwards, have yourself a free time by wandering around the village, visiting local farms, or wait the sunset from your hotel area. 

Day 3

Bromo

By 03.00 we will start the adventure with a 4WD Jeep vehicle to enjoy the bumpy road towards Mt. Penanjakan which is the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking scene of the most popular Bromo’s Sunrise and the landscape views of Mt. Batok along with the highest mountain in East Java, Mt. Semeru.  After witnessing the golden sunrise we move to the next ‘dish’ which is the Bromo volcano itself. 

By driving down the hill, you will pass the vast sea of sand,  from the eruption of Mt. Bromo. In a 30 minutes-easy trekking you will get all the way to the tip of the crater and witness the trembling sound from the ‘underworld’ inside the volcano. Then, you will get your breakfast buffet before we off to the next adventure. 

Madakaripura Waterfalls

Visiting the waterfall during the day which has hot weather is a perfect moment. Walking through a hidden valley accompanied by a splash of waterfall, if you are lucky you will see some wild animals in the waterfall area. Another thing that will be found in the waterfall area is a small temple where worship and statues are iconic of the Majapahit kingdom. Arriving in the waterfall you will be presented with an amazing nature view of the waterfall as if you were in a hidden waterfall away from the crowd.

After get some freshness from the waterfalls we head to Malang city for about 2 hours driving

Day 4

Tumpak Sewu Waterfalls

Have yourself prepared for Tumpak sewu waterfall right after you take your breakfast. We will drive to Tumpak Sewu waterfalls for 2 hours. From the starting point we will walk to visit the panorama point to capture the majestic  panorama of Tumpak Sewu waterfalls. Walk down to get close  with the waterfalls itself and get ready to get wet. Enjoy your time below the largest waterfalls in East Java. Afterwards, move to Goa Tetes (Cave) and see beautiful scenery of valleys and group of small waterfalls alongside on the way to Goa Tetes.  After finish explore the waterfalls area back to starting point and have lunch in local ‘warung’ ( small local food stalls). Drive back to your drop point (Surabaya/Malang) and see you next trip.

12.00-15.00	Drive to your next accommodation in Bromo area with one stop for lunch. Approximately 3 hours driving
15.00	Reaching at your hotel in Bromo area. Check in hotel and rest *stay a night at hotel near the local plantation field so that you can stroll around it and witness a sunset on the higher ground village in Bromo area
Day 3
07.00 – 07.30	Geat ready early morning and go with jeep to Sunrise Point
04.00	Arrive at the Sunrise point and take a coffee break while waiting the Sunrise
04.30	Enjoy Sunrise at Penanjakan/Kingkong Hill
06.00 – 07.00	Driving back down to Mount Bromo Crater area and visit whispering sand for photo shoot of Widodaren valley
07.00-08.00	Trekking to the top of Volcano Crater
08.00 – 09.00	Drive back to hotel and have your breakfast
11.00	Check out hotel and drive to Madakaripura waterfalls. Approximately 30 minutes driving
11.30-13.00	Reaching at Madakaripura waterfalls, 30 minutes easy walk surrounded by green valleys and nature sound of water and birds.
13.00	Enjoy the freshness of waterfalls, taking picture then walk back to our van
13.00-15.00	Drive to Malang city approximately 2 hours
15.00	Reaching hotel and rest
Day 4
07.00-08.00 am	Time for breakfast and ready to go to the Tumpak sewu waterfall
08.00-10.00	Arrive at the Tumpak Sewu waterfall
10.00-02.00	Explore and end enjoying the Tumpak sewu waterfall
02.00-06.00	Drive back to your drop-off point Surabaya or Malang. See you next trip!
